Detailed Directions from Sky Harbor Airport

Pink Route

This is the generally more scenic route (taking you past Tempe's Towne Lake). This route is probably the simpler of the two, but is usually more congested between 4 and 6 p.m.

Directions from the Airport to our Facilities

  • Follow the signs from Sky Harbor International Airport to Route 202 East. A little over a mile after exiting the airport, you will note Tempe Town Lake, ASU Butte (a small mountain) and ASU Sun Devil Stadium on the right.

  • Take the Scottsdale Road/Rural Road exit, which immediately follows. Turn right (you are now traveling south on Rural Road, which is the same as Scottsdale Road).

  • Turn right on Southern, exactly 2.9 miles from the point where you turned off of Route 202 East. (Milestones: You cross University Drive at .9 miles and Broadway Road at 1.9 miles.)

  • The Plaza 400 office complex is exactly .4 miles on the right. If you reach the streetlight at College Avenue, you have gone too far.

  • Turn right into the driveway; our offices are located in buildings 410 and 412, which are located in the rear in the northwest corner of the complex. Parking is free and ample.

  • Hotel options: You pass by the following hotels:
  • When you turn off of Route 202 East, you will see a Best Western Inn immediately on the right. The main feature of which is that it is the only hotel currently located on Tempe's Towne Lake. The hotel/motel seems nondescript, but the Towne Lake is a feature worth visiting.

  • While traveling south on Rural Road, you will note a Holiday Inn on the left 1.4 miles after turning off of Route 202 East.

  • When you turn right onto Southern Avenue, you could have continued to travel south on Rural Road another .6 miles, instead of turning right. You would have passed the Embassy Suites on the right, a more desirable hotel than either of the other two you pass on this route.

Blue Route

This route passes by the largest number of desirable hotels.

Directions from the Airport to our Facilities

  • Follow the signs from Sky Harbor International Airport to Route 153 South. Enter Route 153 South via the entry ramp, which is just east of Terminal 4. Route 153 South is shorter than one mile. It will dead-end at University Drive.

  • Turn left on University Drive. Once on University Drive, you will see Route 143 a couple of hundred yards ahead on the right. If you are going directly to the O'Neil Associates facility, turn south (right) on Route 143.
  • Hotel Options: If, instead, you wish to check into a convenient hotel, move to the left-hand lane of University Drive and turn left into the hotel park, which is immediately before the exit to Route 143 on the left. In this hotel park are several hotels, including a Hilton, a Fairfield Inn, and a Courtyard. To proceed to our facility from one of these hotels, simply return to University Drive from the hotel park, turn left onto University and immediately exit right onto Route 143.
  • Once on Route 143, stay in the right-hand lane and take the second exit, which is Interstate 10 East, towards Tucson. This exit is only .4 miles from the point where you entered Route 143.

  • Once on I-10 East, stay in the right-hand lane and take the first exit, which is US 60 East. This exit is approximately one mile from the point where you entered I-10 East.
  • Hotel Option: Just before you exit onto US 60 from I-10 East, you will note on the right-hand side Westcourt in the Buttes, one of the more upscale and interesting hotels (it is built into the side of the mountain) in the vicinity. (Call them or us for detailed directions).
  • Once on US 60 East, stay in the right-hand lane and take the first exit, which is Mill Avenue. This exit is also approximately one mile from the point where you entered US 60.

  • At the top of the Mill Avenue exit ramp, turn left onto Mill Avenue. Proceed exactly one-half mile then turn right onto Southern Avenue, which will be the third stoplight from the point where you entered Mill Avenue.

  • Once on Southern Avenue proceed one-half mile. Go through the first stop light at College Avenue and turn left into the first driveway after College Avenue. This is the driveway for the Plaza 400 office park.

  • Once in the office park proceed to the rear of the complex to the O'Neil Associates offices. The numbers 410 and 412 are on the building, as well as an O'Neil Associates sign. Parking is free and ample.

  • The travel time from the airport to the O'Neil Associates facilities is about seven minutes during non-rush hour-and takes you directly past several choice hotels.
